Paisano Baptist Encampment General Week
Located in the beautiful Davis Mountains of West Texas, Paisano Baptist Encampment is a 10 minute drive from both Marfa and Alpine. Family Camp (general encampment) meets each summer, the last full week of July. Camp officially begins with a Sunday evening worship service and ends with breakfast the following Saturday.
Families from all over West Texas (now from many states) have been gathering for a week of renewal and inspiration since 1915. Old timers used to camp in tents and eat meals prepared on chuck wagons. Now families stay in cabins or church dorms, and hearty meals are shared together in a huge dining shed, prepared by the kitchen crew directed by Chris Lacy of the o6 Ranch.
Worship and Bible study have always been the primary focus of the week. But in addition to spiritual renewal, Paisano provides opportunities to renew old acquaintances, make new friends, and reunite with extended family members. For more information you can go to www.paisanoencampment.org or you can call the Activities Ministry at 432.683.0647.
