About Us

First Baptist Church
     Midland, Texas, was organized over 115 years ago.
Over the years, we have grown into the largest single Christian
congregation in the Permian Basin; during the typical week,
over 3,000 Midlanders and guests will worship, study and
fellowship at our main campus or as a part of our outreach
ministries.  Thousands more throughout the region will tune
in to our weekly television broadcasts.

Of course, bigger isn't necessarily better...even in Texas!  However,
in our case, we believe that our size is a definite benefit, in that our
resources and diversity allow us to provide a tremendously wide range of ministries, activities and programs designed to help people in every aspect of their lives.

If you are new to Midland or FBC, we hope you'll feel free to visit us at your next opportunity.  We're interested in You!  We've designed this website with you as our focus.  We want to give you the answers to many of your questions about our church, and help you feel aquainted with our fellowship.  However, there's just no substitute for first-hand experience.
